The Technics SL-DZ1200 was introduced in 2004 as Technics' first digital turntable, aiming to combine the tactile feel of vinyl with the convenience of digital formats. It features a direct-drive motor and a 10-inch platter, similar in design to the iconic SL-1200 series. The device supports playback of CDs, CD-Rs, CD-RWs, and MP3 files, with a frequency response ranging from 4 Hz to 20 kHz. It offers various playback modes, including pitch control, vinyl simulation effects, and sampling capabilities.
