The dbx 1066 is a dual-channel compressor, limiter, and gate renowned for its versatility and pristine audio quality. It features selectable auto (classic dbx) or manual compression modes with variable attack and release settings, allowing for tailored dynamic control. The unit also offers PeakStopPlus™ limiting to prevent unwanted transients, selectable OverEasy® or Hard Knee compression modes, and a contour switch to eliminate low-frequency interference in the detector circuit. Additionally, the 1066 provides sidechain external (SC Ext) and sidechain monitor (SC Mon) functions for precise frequency-dependent gain control. Its robust design includes true balanced XLR and 1/4" inputs and outputs, ensuring seamless integration into both studio and live sound environments.
